We cook with the highest quality ingredients, often organic, always very fresh, with lots of local and seasonal ingredients, eggs from our free range chickens and fresh herbs from our gardens. Your satisfaction is important to us and we happily accommodate special dietary needs. We cater to an active, healthy lifestyle with lots of choices for everyone including traditional, vegan/ vegetarian, gluten free, paleo diets; children and folks who just like to indulge now and again.
As we are remote, advance planning your meals is a good idea. For lunch and supper, you might want to bring along food provisions, or purchase top quality supper provisions from us, or eat at local restaurants. We are 45 minutes from a major supermarket (in Benson or Willcox). The nearest town of Sunsites is 20 minutes and 3 miles of unpaved road away. It has a lovely, small grocery store, a mini-market, and a couple of small town dining options.
Guests in the Casita and Agave Suite order breakfast the night before; for “room service” delivery in the morning at your specified time between 7:30-9:30am. We prepare chef’s choice breakfasts for Woodlands Yurt guests based on any special dietary needs. Yurt guests pick up breakfast at the main house and are welcome to enjoy breakfast on the patios or in the yurt.
*Please ask us to send our current gluten free or paleo breakfast menu
Due to frequent requests from those guests who prefer not to travel to a restaurant, or take up valuable vacation time with grocery shopping, we offer a provisioning service.
Our favorite local, family operated restaurant is in Benson, “Mi Casa” Mexican dining, beside the Rock Shop on the main street. Check their hours, they are not open on Sat/ Sun.
In Sunsites – “Margie’s Corner Cafe” and “TJ’s Bar & Grill”.
Bisbee is noted for several very excellent restaurants, “Café Roka” and “The Stock Exchange” are highly recommended.
